What your clients see
See how a client uploads files
Admins & staff
See how a client sends you files on a task, what they can upload and when they can change them.
Where:SidebarTasksTask name
- When: the Files section only appears on a task where you chose Required or Optional uploads, and only if file uploads are turned on for your business and your plan includes them.
- How: the client drags files into the box or selects browse. On a phone they can usually take a photo.
- What: PDF, JPEG and PNG files. The box shows the size and file count limits.
- Saving: files upload as soon as they are chosen, and Hydi shows how many were uploaded. A file of the wrong type, too large or empty is refused, and nothing from that attempt is uploaded.
- Removing: while the task is Active or Needs Changes, they can remove a file with the X beside it and confirm in Delete File?.
- After they submit: the files are listed but locked.
- Your side: you get a notification when files arrive, and you can download their uploads.
Good to know
- Hydi checks what is inside a file, not only its name, so a renamed file of another type is refused.
- With Required, the client cannot finish the task until at least one file is uploaded.
