Require a signature on a task
Admins & staff
Ask the client to review your documents and sign to confirm, instead of marking the task done.
Where:SidebarTasks
- Start a task as described in Assign a task, or open an existing task and select Edit.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Tick Requires Signature(s).
- Enter the Acknowledgement Text you want the client to confirm.
- To give them something to review, attach documents from the File Library.
- Select Create Task, then choose Send Now in Task Created to give it to the client, or select Save Changes.
Good to know
- The client draws or types their signature and confirms, and they cannot mark the task as done instead.
- They have to submit an attached form, and upload a required file, before they can sign.
- When they finish signing, the task goes to Submitted if it needs staff review, or to Completed if not.
